Here it is! My newest wedding gown design! It's up on Etsy now, so go check it out!

It is made from a stretch twill fabric that I saved from being thrown away and tulle. The bodice is made from a recycled bodice. It's a long tea length dress, so it can be hemmed to whatever length you would like it to be.

Bridal Alternatives

I'm freaking out over these pieces in the J.Mendel Spring 2010 collection. I can only imagine what great bridal alternatives these could be. You can take 'something blue' more literal and wear this beautifully draped dress in a baby blue chiffon. You could go the pant suit route, but it's so much more chic than a regular old pant suit. I love the fur coats, the short and the long. how great would they be as something to put over your shoulders for those fall or winter weddings. I'm also loving the nude blouse with the cream skirt and the nude sequin and bead dress... I can see these both as great outfits for your rehearsal dinner!

I love this bow detail on the front of the brides gown! The dress is very simple but the bow adds something special and unique to it.

I spotted this dress over on Green Wedding Shoes. This dress is by Claire Pettibone and I love the touch of lace at the top and the floral embroidery at the hem. The photographs are so beautiful! they were taken by photographer Cameron Ingalls, who is also a close friend to the couple.
