I love this easy Engagement shoot I spotted on Brooklyn Bride. As I'm starting to search for inspiration for my own engagement shoot, only 3 weeks away, this is one that really catches my eye. The sofa is great! It makes me wonder what I can fit in the car and drive up Sorin's bluff for our pictures...

Your pictures will be so adorable no matter what props you use! Our only prop was a blanket and I really only brought it because it was 20 degrees! But it worked :) Have fun with it!
I'm sure you're right. I guess it would make things more interesting. although, we do have some tricks up our sleeves. We are going to have a good time.
I really like these photos, but I think the most important thing about an engagement shoot is that it represents who you and your fiance are. What do you like to do? What does he? Maybe you can incorporate some of those things into your shoot...

thanks for all your advise! We are headed to his hometown and to his backyard which is pretty personal. my interests are ice skating and pretty dresses, since there will be no ice in august I will atleast be in a pretty dress and he loves golf and chuck taylors. we might make it to a golf course he worked at and one or both of us will be wearing chucks. I'm getting so excited!
