Here's to a Happy Friday and Lovely weekend!

I openly admit that I'm not one for Halloween, I'll be using the weekend to sew and work on little crafts.

I picked up the latest issue of Unveiled this past week and I drooled all over the shots of this dress. The fabric, the silhouette and I'm loving the detail on the shoulder.

I love these photos! The bride looks so happy, and that veil! I love the shot of it blowing in the wind. And last you have to love the first picture of the bride cooling off, i'm sure she got pretty hot in that dress!

Tea Time

I love this simple short dress with the green belt! I also love the skirt and the way the pleats make it 'pop' out. Our bride is wedding photographer turned bride, Kathi Littwin. Her wedding was featured on the Bride's Cafe recently and I love her story of how she came about getting this dress.

"The dress was next. I have seen thousands of beautiful dresses over the years but what did I want to wear. As I kid I remember thinking that I might want to wear a short dress – I liked being different even back then but also thought it would be nice to show off my legs. Why hide a good feature? Isn’t that the point? When I saw the picture of the Ramona Keveza dress on Martha Stewart's web site, I didn’t need to look anymore. I booked my appt at Bridal Reflections, took one good friend with me and sealed the deal on the spot. I not only bought the first dress I tried on, it was the only dress I tried on. "

Thread

I love photographs like this. Photos that display spool of thread in jars. I have a few jars at home filled with thread. Not only is in functional, it's artistic and inspiring as well!

Wild Things Week in NYC

Today is the start of Wild Things Week in New York City!! I'm so excited for the movie to come out on Friday! Check it out here!

My wonderful and fabulous mother is here for a visit! facials will be had, nails will be painted and cocktails will be made! And you'll never know we may stumble upon a polka bar and start the crowd dancing... It's what we do!

Surf Lodge: Montauk, NY

I've always had an interest in finding more out about beach town and summer getaway, Montauk on Long Island, NY. Oh Joy posted about this way cool Surf Lodge there and now I'm really dying to go! I will definitely be planning a long weekend there next summer.

Each Suite includes a sundeck and water views, an ipod dock, and wireless Internet access, along with all the other hotel amenities. To add to the wonderful views, the Surf Lodge offers on site rentals of boards, kayaks, bikes and more, and then there is the Surf Lodge Boot Camp every Saturday and Sunday with celebrity fitness trainer Rebecca Kordecki. Once you are done surfing, biking and working out you can head back to your room for a scheduled massage and finish your day horseback riding down the beach.

Cymeline Paris

I was surfing the web the other day and stumbled upon designer Cymeline Paris.

I love the looks of these gowns. I would call them elegant with a twist. Check out their website, there are many other gowns to drool over!

Knitted

This awe inspiring dress is called “The Elizabeth” which was designed and hand-knitted by Jemma Sykes, a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London. this piece was made with 100% organic wool and naturally dyed pink.

This dress is currently displayed at Harrod's as a donation. The Elizabeth was then auctioned off to support the Breast Cancer Campaign!

The Ultimate Search!

I came across this beautiful wedding over at Snippet & Ink, one of my favorite wedding blogs. I have to let this come from the bride herself. here is what the bride had to say on snippet & ink about the search for her gown in the days leading up to her wedding day.

"The dress was an original gown from the 1950s which I purchased a week and a half before the wedding. Basically, when I had begun looking for a dress, I had my heart set on something vintage. I couldn't find what I was after, and ended up ordering a new gown elsewhere. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I discovered the bridal store had experienced a problem with ordering the dress, and it wasn't apparent if the dress would end up making it to me on time or not. In desperation, I took the afternoon off work and went searching, driving aimlessly; I came by a vintage store I'd never seen before, went in and discovered this amazing gown that fit me perfectly - and the rest is history! I couldn't help but think that it was all meant to be. I adored the gown and my only regret is the fact that I won't have another chance to wear it!"
