Bridal Portraits

I love this dress. doesn't it look like she took the top of her mom's dress and put a new bottom on?
the photos are the brides Bridal Portraits. I think that is something that is traditionally done in the South. None of the women in my family have done it and they all reign from South Dakota!
Would you or have you done bridal portraits and would you recommend it?

That is a gorgeous dress!
I hadn't thought about doing a bridal portrait personally until just now... however I do remember seeing a good family friend's wife's bridal portrait framed on his office desk and I thought it was so much more romantic and meaningful then any other picture he could have of her.

You're right - it looks half vintage. So sweet! Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend my dear! :) xo

Sarah did it. It was a good practice run she said. She figured out what she did and did not like about her hair and makeup; she got to practice walking around in her dress. And they displayed the best portrait at the reception. (And it is totally a southern thing...haha)

I tell you I am absolutely in LOVE with the top of that dress, she should have kept the whole thing! Lovely photos too:) So nice to be back! Lots of reading to do to catch up with all I've missed! (Thanks for your continuous support over on my blog Kirby! I always look forward to your comments.)

I never realized that bridal portraits might be just a southern thing. I had them done as well as all my southern friends...interesting...I thought it was totally normal! hahaha
I would recommend it, why not have photos taken in your most beautiful, happy state :)
